What we are doing at Ploysaeng 4 at TCDC

Again with Ploy Saeng Festival 4, this time "Supermarket of Ideas". It was a continuity for us from Ploysaeng 2, which we previously had been chosen to the product development session organized by TCDC. What we came up then was a range of Thai souvenir as seen displayed in front of TCDC library till end of September 2009.

This time we had an opportunity to produce a showcase in a 1 x 1 x 2(H) metre box. Initially we came up with a few ideas and at the end agreed with this one:

Since this is a Ploysaeng (or “ปล่อยแสง”) along with Luum’s special interest is in candle, we decided to use ‘light’ as a mean to tell the story of what we do. Each scene is inspired by different story telling fairytales as we are trying to tell our story.

This scene is inspired by Snow White. This imitates our candle factory with strict spectator for best quality and precision.(Not that we are witches but when we are very very very tired yes, we could turn to one)

The next one is from “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” describing one of our candle collection “Garden Collection”. This collection consists of 8 scents each scent inspired by different gardens around the would from Giverny (Monet’s Garden in France) to Moonlight in India.

The next one, "Little Red Riding Hood" having an evening tea on the tree-house with her disguised grandmother with our “Vintage Collection” crafted candle.

In the basement of the castle, the King is being abused with a lit match from the “Mixed Match” Collection.

“The Elves and Shoemaker” Let us do all the magic with our services while you relax.

Cinderella received an invitation card from the castle, presenting Luum’s Love Collection. Cards inspired by “Love”.

The prince on horse back is fighting the dragon with our “Thai Boxing Apron”. (Notice the little Pinocchio inside the dragon: No Pinocchio is hurt during the making of this presentation)

And they lived happily ever after… with the precious present of “Candle Card” from the victorious prince to the little princess.
